I had purposely left this crash site off my web site for fear of it being vandalized, but as well known as this site is, it appears that it has been vandalized none the less. It is up to those of us interested in these sites to respect them. If anyone knows who vandalized the wing please contact the Forest Service as requested by the flier, which is now also posted at the site.

This photo and the one to the right show the damage which took place sometime between August and November 2002. Large sections have been cutout. Compare this photo to the left arrows in the first photo.

Photos Taken During AAIR's Visit in 1999

The main wing in 1999.

The trailing edge of the waist gunner's port.
The rest of the waist gunner's port.
The empennage.
From the time I first visited he empennage in 1999 it had been moved flattened slightly when TIGHAR surveyed the site in 2001. Although I accredited the flattening to snow rather than vandalism.
The insignia with a red dot was remarkably well preserved.
The left wing was almost a mile away from the empennage.
